Order turn-around times

We aim to process orders within one to two days of receipt excluding weekends and public holidays. If any item is out of stock, we will refund the cost of the item and send the remaining items of the order out to you.

All UK deliveries are subject to the carriers’ standard procedures and timescales. A signature is not normally required. If the package will not fit through your letterbox and no one is home, it may be taken back to the postal depot for collection, in which case a note will be left.

Customs Duty, Excise and Other Local Taxes

Prices on this website are calculated in GB pounds inclusive of UK VAT. The Shopping Cart and Checkout pages will display the net (ex-VAT) prices, with VAT added to the subtotal at the prevailing rate for the destination country.

The recipient of the order is responsible for all customs formalities relating to their import and where required to do so will need to pay any additional charges, including import duty, customs charges, taxes, levies and any other charges. The recipient of the goods, not the person who’s ordered them, will receive a separate request for payment of these charges.

Customers in the EU, for instance, might be asked locally to pay VAT and customs duty before their parcel can be delivered, when the total order value (including shipping) is 150 Euros or more.

We have absolutely no control over this but if you do have to pay these charges, please send us a copy of the receipt and we will refund the VAT amount that you paid when placing the order.

If you are ordering goods for delivery to someone else please make sure they are aware of the possibility of these additional payments and that they will be responsible for payment.

Lavinia Stamps Ltd has no control over these import regulations or additional charges and we suggest you contact the local authorities or postal service in the destination country for further advice.
